If you love to travel in luxury and style before or after your cruise, or you just want to splash out on a fancy hotel, Hotel Miramar is one of Barcelona’s top five star hotels.
Location is great, near to most of the top locations in the city. Stepping into Barcelona Hotel Colonial feels a bit like a time travel jaunt, thanks to its impressive colonial stone building. There are drool-worthy restaurants just a 5-minute wander away. Beachfront and design-forward, Hotel 54 Barceloneta is a cozy spot that’ll have you gazing out over the port from its hip terrace. You’re plopped right in the Barceloneta area, so beach vibes are totally guaranteed.
One of the hotel’s highlights is its rooftop pool, which provides amazing views of Barcelona. This spot is perfect for unwinding after a day of exploration. At Hotel Miramar, you can be nearby some of the best things to do in Barcelona and enjoy a quiet retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Book your transport and accommodation together on Skyscanner for a hassle-free experience. A special mention deserves the W Hotel, but not my favorite for many reasons. For what matters to this post, I’ll say it’s located at the very end of the Barceloneta cape, making it the longest ride (20 minutes) to the Barcelona Cruise Port. And it’s far from everything else, so you’ll end up taking cabs every time you exit the hotel unless you are going to the beach. You can ask your hotel front desk to call a taxi for you, but usually, if you step outside, you will see lots of taxis passing with green lights on to show that they are available. The room was elegant and attention to detail was wonderful, the pool was very fun, and clean.
